Common questions
How quickly can you fill a shift?
Most same-week shifts are filled within hours, and we take urgent requests for next-day cover by phone. Specialised roles may take longer depending on the checks needed.
Are your workers employees or contractors?
Our workers are employed by Care Assist. We handle pay, super, insurance and compliance, so you receive one invoice per period.
Can we keep the same worker for a participant?
Yes. Ask for a block booking and we'll roster the same worker on a recurring line so participants see a familiar face.
Can we take a casual worker on permanently?
Yes. Talk to your consultant about converting a casual worker to a permanent role. Terms are set out in your service agreement.
I'm new to disability work. Can I still register?
Yes. Register and we'll explain which checks and training you need, including the NDIS Worker Screening Check and Worker Orientation Module.
